How can founders turn voice notes into decision logs and investor updates?
Talk through the decision, the backlog, the customer call or the month in your own words, then run the note through a structured format. Sentio offers four founder formats, Decision Log, Build Priorities, Customer Feedback and Investor Update, and each is written to use only what you said. You edit the draft and send or save it yourself.

Why speaking beats writing for this
The reasoning behind a decision is the first thing to disappear. Typing a clean write-up feels like a task, so it waits, and by the time it happens you remember the choice but not the alternatives you rejected. Speaking is fast enough to do while the thought is still warm, and a transcript preserves the order in which you actually reasoned.
The four formats
Decision Log records what you chose, why, and what you rejected. Build Priorities returns what you could build ranked, with one item called out to start on. Customer Feedback turns a call debrief into themes, quotes and requests, keeping your interpretation apart from the customer words. Investor Update structures metrics, wins, lowlights and asks. All four are transform formats inside the Sentio app, not a separate product.
How it avoids making things up
A structured draft is only useful if it is true to the note. Decision Log says so when no decision was found instead of promoting an idea or preference to one. Customer Feedback treats words as a quote only if you quoted them in the recording. Investor Update marks sections you did not cover rather than filling them in. You should still read every draft, because the source is your memory and your phrasing.
A practical routine
Record a two minute decision note the same day, and a longer monthly note near the end of the month covering numbers, highs, lows and requests. Keep the original recording alongside the structured version so you can check a detail later. Sentio does not send investor updates for you; the output is an editable draft.
Common questions
Is the founder feature a separate app?
No. The founder formats are part of the Sentio app, in the same transform picker as the other formats. Check the pricing page for which plan includes what.
What if my note has no decision in it?
Decision Log reports that no decision was found rather than creating one from an idea or open question.
Does Sentio send the investor update?
No. It writes an editable draft and marks any section you did not cover. You review and send it yourself.
