How do I get meeting notes from a voice recording?
You either capture the meeting itself or record a spoken debrief right afterward, then transcribe and summarize it. Sentio supports the debrief approach today: speak what was decided and it returns a transcript, a summary with decisions and follow-ups, and action items you can turn into reminders. If you need a bot that joins Zoom, Teams or Meet, that is a different kind of tool, such as Otter.

Option one: capture the meeting itself
Meeting assistants join your call, record it and produce notes for everyone. Otter lists an assistant for Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet on its features page. This is the right tool when several people need the same transcript and you want it without lifting a finger during the call. The tradeoffs are social as much as technical: participants see a recorder, and your notes live inside that product.
Option two: record a debrief
The second method needs no bot. When the call ends, you talk for two or three minutes about what was decided, who owes what and what is still open. Because you are summarizing from memory, you naturally skip the small talk and the tangents. Sentio takes that recording and produces a transcript, a summary that separates decisions and next steps from the chatter, and action items you can edit before you share anything.
What Sentio does and does not do for meetings
The debrief workflow is available now in the web app. Full bot-joined meeting capture is rolling out separately and is not available to every account, and speaker separation depends on the audio and the capture workflow available to your account. Sentio notes are personal: team workspaces, comments and assignment are in early access and should not be assumed.
A short debrief script
Say the meeting name and who attended, then each decision as its own sentence beginning with "we decided." Then list follow-ups as "I will" or "name will," each with a date if there is one. Finish with open questions. That structure costs nothing and makes any summarizer, human or software, work better.
Common questions
Can Sentio join my Zoom call?
Bot-joined meeting capture is rolling out separately and is not available to every account yet. The debrief workflow, where you record a spoken summary after the meeting, works today.
Can I share the notes with my team?
Sentio notes are personal today. You can edit the summary and copy it to whoever missed the call, but shared workspaces and comments are in early access.
Is a debrief as good as a full transcript?
It captures what you remember and judged important, not every word. For decisions and follow-ups that is often enough; for verbatim needs record the meeting itself, with the consent of participants.
